"The holidays will soon be upon us and we are ready! Coming up next week are two events that will make your holiday entertaining and shopping a breeze...
On Tuesday, Nov 3rd, join us for a cooking class at 6:30pm. Aubrae Filipiak is a classically trained chef and she has invited us over for a delicious lesson! You'll get tricks and tips from a pro, learn to make a couple of recipes that will wow your friends and loved ones and have a great time doing it! There is only space for a couple more people, so if you're interested, please email Aubrae at aubrae.filipiak@gmail.com.
Thursday, Nov 5th is another fabulous evening - this one a trunk show for Notably Noted, a local stationary and gift boutique. This is hosted by Andrea Kurys. Join us at her home for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a glimpse at this seasons offerings from this talented designer of holiday cards, stationary and gifts. Andrea's address is 2901 SW 92nd St and the show starts at 7 pm. You can reach her at 405.487.7721 or kurysandrea@yahoo.com with questions or to RSVP.
Hope to see all of you next week and stay tuned for more fantastic events - we've got a great couple of months ahead of us!"

Volunteer Opportunity: Kitchen Tours
This is a volunteer oppurtunity you do not want to miss!!! You will have a blast! Kitchen Tours Needs Volunteers! The proceeds from this year's Kitchen Tour will go to the: Schools for Healthy Lifestyles, and Health Alliance for the Uninsured. The Kitchen Tour will be on October 25th (Sunday). We have 5 homes in the Nichols Hills Area. The 5 homes are: 1. 1210 Larchmont Lane 2. 1709 Camden Way 3. 6917 Grand Blvd. 4. 1714 Coventry Lane 5. 2431 Grand Circle We are running 3- 2hr shifts: 11am-1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm. For a couple of hours you will be helping the host give out samples of food by professional chefs in some of Nichols Hills' most beautiful kitchens! We would appreciate all the help we can get. Please email Aurora Macaraeg auroramac529@yahoo.com if you would like to participate. If you're not sure or have questions, you can call me at 785.817.9095 and I'd be glad to tell you more about it and share with you when and where I'll be volunteering. I missed out on this my first year because I didn't know if I would know anyone going. Shame on me! Trust me when I say, you don't need to! People (doctor's and resident's wives) are so friendly and will absolutely welcome you in open arms because you are apart of the medical community and you are extremely important to their success as a county Alliance. If it weren't for the med school and resident spouses joining in, they're membership would die out over time. So seriously think about doing this, because it is a really, really neat oppurtunity. The houses are rediculously nice! Cheers! Stacy Dunn OU MSSA Co-President |
